The Oilers are coming off a 5-3 loss Thursday against the Los Angeles Kings. Connor McDavid and Evander Kane scored for Edmonton, which is 0-2 in its first playoff series since 2017.
The Panthers won both regular-season meetings with the Oilers, scoring five goals in each victory. Florida won 5-2 at home in December, then 5-3 at Edmonton in April.
"We'll have to be better than (Thursday) night," Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl said. "We've shown this year when our backs are against the wall, we can respond. We can't afford to go down 0-3. We've got to go in there and play desperate."
The Panthers are 4-0 at home in the playoffs, including a sweep of the Washington Capitals in the first round.
"We're confident," Panthers forward Sam Bennett said. "We know what we're capable of. We've got a lot of firepower. We've got a lot of skill. We just need to keep playing our game."
